Montessori by the Sea is a bilingual Montessori school for children from 18 months to 6 years. Families follow a weekly guided journey — the apple life cycle, step-by-step recipes, land, air and water — through games that teach Spanish the Montessori way: hands first, words second. This sketchbook is the school's other half: the apple year looked at slowly, in ink and a little colour.

📖 How to use this guide
This app is a step-by-step journey through the Apple Life Cycle for you and your child (19–30 months). The interface is in English for you; the voice speaks Spanish, because that is the language your child is learning. Each step has a parent card (what to do at home, what to say in Spanish) and an interactive activity for your child. The child only needs to tap — repetition is the key at this age, and there are no "bad" mistakes.
💡 Tip: sit with your child, name what they touch, and repeat the Spanish words after the voice. Keep sessions to 10–15 minutes.
🗣️ You will hear phrases like: «¿Dónde está...?» = Where is...? · «Toca» = Touch · «¡Muy bien!» = Great job! · «Otra vez» = Again.

🧠 Montessori areas covered by the theme
- Practical life: cutting and peeling apples with real tools in a prepared environment (fine motor skills, autonomy, self-esteem).
- Language: 3-part cards for the life cycle and the parts of the apple (image + word).
- Sensorial: observe the color of the skin, smell, taste (sweet or sour) and touch the flesh; compare the seeds of different apples.
- Math: counting 1 to 5 with apples and the symbol-quantity relationship.
- Music: «De dentro de una manzana, la oruguita mira hacia afuera» (a Mozart adaptation from The Magic Flute).
📌 Montessori presentation: present the material first (2 to 5 minutes, in silence), name each part only once, and leave the material within the child's reach. "Follow the child": observe and allow free repetition.
